Dance Practice
One of the important components of learning to dance is practicing, both at your home and with others. The thought of practicing out in public can be pretty scary to some. If it is any consolation, in the beginning, almost everybody has some amount of fear regarding this, but it is important to remember, that EVERYBODY was a beginner at one point in their life, including your teachers.
Social practices are held the 1st Monday at the Richland Community Center from 7:30pm-8:30pm. The cost for these is $2.00 of you are a Richland resident and $3.00 if you are not. These are ran by our Intermediate students and they are always going to welcome you with open arms. You can come and just sit and watch, or come & dance, whatever you are comfortable with . Practice is truly for practicing what you learned in class & there are no expectations. There will always be somebody there who can help you with anything you might be struggling with or to answer your questions. Practice is not set up to learn new material, so please don't bring the cool moves you find on YouTube and expect someone to teach them to you. We play Salsa, Bachata, Timba, & Cumbia in the practices
Social Dancing
Once you feel comfortable with practicing, then we encourage you to come out and try your hand at social dancing. There are a couple options in Tri-Cities and we frequently do "Pop-Up Salsa nights" at various venues throughout the year. Those will always be posted on our FB account www.facebook.com/salsaconrumba/
